In 2024, Hinge Health partnered with Perifit to introduce a software-connected pelvic floor trainer that provides real-time biofeedback and guidance for pelvic floor muscle strengthening. The trainer displays your pelvic floor muscle contractions in the app as a game featuring an orb that rises and falls as you contract and relax. I worked on the game design for this project and designed motion solutions to help users envision how their pelvic muscles were working in order to improve pelvic floor strength, coordination, and control.
Here is the final game design concept video that was presented to leadership and subsequently shipped on the device. The concept revolves around squeezing and relaxing to capture targets and boost your score. I designed all the animations and transitions, and then collaborated with the engineering team to ensure the motion translated accurately in React Native.
